Wine List Assistant

Meridian Wine Merchants is looking for a dedicated Wine List Assistant to join our On-Consumption Trade Marketing & Sales team in a national capacity. This role offers the perfect blend of creativity, detail, and process-driven coordination—supporting our mission to elevate the wine experience for clients across the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review wine list briefs from clients and internal stakeholders
• Assist Sales Consultants with developing tailored wine lists that align with portfolio priorities
• Conduct gap analyses and competitor assessments to inform wine list strategy
• Coordinate the end-to-end wine list production process—briefing, design, proofing, sign-off, printing, and delivery
• Ensure all deliverables meet brand standards and deadlines
• Support the On-Consumption sales and marketing team with operational and creative input

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Certificate in Sales, Marketing, or related field
• Completion of Cape Wine Academy Certificate, SA Introductory Course, or equivalent (advantageous)
• Relevant experience in wine, hospitality, or a related environment
