We are seeking a personable and efficient Receptionist to manage the front desk and ensure seamless check-in and check-out experiences for our guests. You will be the first point of contact, providing a warm welcome and consistently excellent customer service throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities
Reception & Guest Services
- Welcome all guests with professionalism and a friendly smile
- Facilitate guest check-ins and check-outs, including key management and billing
- Communicate hotel services and accommodation rates
- Respond to guest queries, complaints, and special requests promptly and courteously
- Upsell room options and promote hotel facilities and nearby attractions
- Handle messages, reservations, and telephone enquiries efficiently
- Maintain decorum and presence at the reception area at all times
Administration
- Keep accurate records of bookings and transactions
- Attend to all booking channels: in-person, online, and telephonic
- Report maintenance or housekeeping issues for prompt resolution
- Manage personal cash float and perform shift-end cash-ups
- Prepare welcome amenities and VIP materials as needed
Customer Engagement
- Build rapport and provide personalised service to all guests
- Understand customer preferences and tailor the service experience accordingly
- Educate guests on hotel promotions and services
- Handle feedback constructively, escalating where necessary
Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 / Matric
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or hotel reception
- Skills & Attributes
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a dynamic reception environment
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
- Proficiency in hotel management systems is beneficial
