Merchandiser

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that stock is correctly displayed, well-organised, and maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Key Responsibilities
- Place and display stock accurately on racks, shelves, and gondolas
- Return unsold or misplaced stock to the correct locations
- Monitor and report on damaged or depleted stock
- Perform regular stock takes and report findings
- Assist with product promotions and maintain promotional displays
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with queries
- Follow up on quotations and convert leads into sales
- Comply with merchandising and visual display standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional merchandising environment
- Ensure proper functioning of merchandising equipment
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- 1–2 years’ experience in a merchandising or shelf-packing role
- Knowledge of general building materials is essential
- Sales and customer service skills with proven track record
- Ability to perform regular stock takes and maintain organisation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
