Faircape Health Tokai Estate is a Sub-Acute Care and Rehabilitation Centre providing restorative and rehabilitative care to patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, surgical, and respite conditions.

Situated in the heart of Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs, Tokai Estate is renowned for its luxury environment and exceptional healthcare standards. Faircape is seeking a professional and warm Healthcare Receptionist to join the team and serve as the welcoming face of the facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet all visitors with warmth and professionalism.
  • Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls courteously and efficiently.
  • Manage messages and correspondence (verbal, written, and electronic).
  • Handle incoming mail, deliveries, and administrative communications.
  • Coordinate diaries, appointments, and instructions for relevant departments.
  • Prepare starter packs and assist with staff onboarding (including fingerprint registration).
  • Assist with billing, charge sheets, and patient payments upon discharge.
  • Support the admin team with day-to-day operations of the facility.
  • Ensure all front-desk and administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar administrative or receptionist role.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or medical environment (advantageous).
  • An administration qualification would be beneficial.
  • Computer literacy (Google Docs experience advantageous).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service–oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Neat, professional, and well-presented.
  • Responsible, reliable, and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements

  • Clear credit and criminal record.
  • Solid written references.

Working Hours

  • Days: Monday to Sunday
  • Shift: 07h00 – 19h00 (16.25 shifts per month)
  • Salary: Market-related (based on experience, qualifications, and market factors).
