38 Internships: Kaonafatso ya Dikgomo Beef Recording & Improvement (All Provinces)
Introduction
The Agricultural Research Council (ARC) is offering 38 internship opportunities under the Kaonafatso ya Dikgomo – Beef Recording and Improvement Scheme, aimed at empowering smallholder farmers through animal recording, training, and livestock improvement. Interns will play a vital role in transforming beef production practices within communities across all provinces

Key Responsibilities
- Provide animal recording and improvement services to smallholder farmers.
- Train and recruit farmers into the Kaonafatso ya Dikgomo Scheme.
- Visit farms for beef recording and improvement activities.
- Participate in focus sessions and meetings with farmers.
- Collect herd statistics and livestock performance data to compile a database.
- Work with provincial farmer support teams for effective project implementation.
- Compile and submit monthly progress reports.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Animal Production.
- Motivated and willing to travel to farms and villages.
- Strong human relations and the ability to engage with diverse communities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
NB: Applicants must select only one province for placement.

- Appointment is subject to a positive security clearance.
- Preference will be given to designated groups in line with the ARC Employment Equity Plan.
