Minimum Requirements
To be considered, applicants must have one of the following:
- BSc or BSc (Hons) in Food Science or equivalent
- National Diploma or BTech in Food Technology or equivalent
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Product Development & Innovation
- Assist R&D Technician/Manager in developing new products per project briefs
- Screen raw materials for suitability in application and manufacturing
- Test alternative ingredients for quality or cost improvements
- Conduct shelf life tests and generate reports
- Benchmark competitor products
- Support tasting sessions and customer presentations
Quality Assessments
- Conduct texture, softness, volume, and water activity tests
- Collect and interpret quality assessment data
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain sample register and trial data library
- Record recipe revisions and compile test bakery reports
- Complete detailed shelf life test reports
