Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must have one of the following:

• BSc or BSc (Hons) in Food Science or equivalent
• National Diploma or BTech in Food Technology or equivalent

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Product Development & Innovation

• Assist R&D Technician/Manager in developing new products per project briefs
• Screen raw materials for suitability in application and manufacturing
• Test alternative ingredients for quality or cost improvements
• Conduct shelf life tests and generate reports
• Benchmark competitor products
• Support tasting sessions and customer presentations

Quality Assessments

• Conduct texture, softness, volume, and water activity tests
• Collect and interpret quality assessment data

Administration & Reporting

• Maintain sample register and trial data library
• Record recipe revisions and compile test bakery reports
• Complete detailed shelf life test reports
